Muscat: There is no detention of Omani citizens at Turkish airports, but rather a delay or suspension of flights due to bad weather conditions in Turkey, said the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Ankara.

A statement issued online by the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Ankara said: "The embassy notes that there is no detention of citizens at Turkish airports, but the delay or suspension of flights comes as a result of bad weather conditions and the accumulation of snow, as the competent Turkish authorities announced the suspension and postponement of a number of flights due to the weather conditions that faced the cities. "

Turkish Airlines announced the cancellation of 36 scheduled flights to and from Istanbul Airport, and 31 scheduled flights to and from Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul, today, due to bad weather.
