His Majesty receives written message from Egyptian President
The message was delivered to His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, by Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt and head of the Egyptian side in Oman-Egypt Joint Committee.

Muscat:  His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received a written message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The message was delivered to His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, by Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt and head of the Egyptian side in Oman-Egypt Joint Committee.

During the meeting, the minister conveyed the greetings of the Egyptian President to His Majesty the Sultan.

HH Sayyid Fahd and the Egyptian minister reviewed bilateral relations between Oman and Egypt based on the strong bonds between the two peoples. Shoukry stressed the significance of consolidating cooperation between the two countries in various spheres.

The meeting dealt with ways of enhancing the tasks of Oman-Egypt committee and encouraged the parties concerned to play a greater role in promoting investments and accomplishing joint projects.

The two sides also reviewed issues on the regional and international arenas and joint action to support security and stability in the regional front.

The Egyptian minister commended the wise and balanced policy espoused by the Sultanate of Oman and the country’s positive role in upgrading understanding and constructive dialogue among other countries in a bid to support security and stability in the region. He expressed his country’s keenness on promoting bilateral relations. He said that the talks he conducted with Omani officials will reflect positively on their bilateral relations.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, head of the Omani side at Oman-Egypt Joint Committee. It was also attended by Khalid Mohammed Abdulhaleem, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
