Muscat: SalamAir operated more than 9,000 flights during the past year, with an occupancy rate of more than 70 per cent. It now aspires to launch domestic flights to Duqm Airport.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir said: "The company submitted a request to the concerned authorities in the Sultanate of Oman in order to obtain approval to operate domestic flights to Duqm Airport in the Al Wusta Governorate and to the Wilayat of Masirah in the South Sharqiyah Governorate."
He pointed out that the volume of operations in SalamAir began to improve gradually, as the company was able to transport more than one million passengers in 2021, with an occupancy rate of 71 per cent, and it operated more than 9,200 flights.
