Muscat: Oman Meteorology called on everyone to take caution as wind with a speed of 77 knots was registered at one of the monitoring stations.

The Directorate General of Meteorology said: "Currently, some monitoring stations of the Civil Aviation Authority have recorded wind speeds of 77 knots in Qayroun Heiriti, 41 knots in Dhalkut and 30 knots at Qarn Al Alam station."

The meteorologist added: "Therefore, caution must be taken during active winds, which may lead to the escalation of dust and dirt."

Previously, the Directorate General of Meteorology had warned of strong winds that will cause dust to rise and temperatures to drop. The effects of the active winds began in a number of Gulf countries, where temperatures reached less than 10 degrees Celsius.
