Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will be affected by fresh northwesterly winds starting from Thursday, January 20, 2022 and will continue for some days, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
"Northwesterly fresh wind is expected to blow over the Sultanate and may cause the following weather conditions:
1- Moderate to rough seas over the coastal areas of Oman Sea and West Musandam coastal areas with maximum wave height ranging from 2 - 4 metres.
2- Low and poor horizontal visibility due to the dust storms especially in open areas and deserts .
3- Drop between ( 5 to 8 ° C ) in the normal air temperatures," CAA said in a statement.
The Civil Aviation Authority advises all to take precautions, especially fishermen and motorists.
