Khaula Al Harthi, Executive Director of INJAZ Oman, said at the event, "We have witnessed such creativity and caliber in our country’s youth through this exhibition. These young minds pose great ingeniousness, delivering innovate solutions that are not only feasible but easily applicable to the Omani market."
Senior officials from the public and private sectors as well as those supporting innovation and entrepreneurship also visited the exhibitions.
His Highness Dr. Adham bin Turki Al Said, said, "The projects have uncovered a remarkable development in transforming ideas into viable products and services. The efforts and innovation of the students deserve to be seen and supported."
Mwasalat CEO Ahmed Al Bulushi visited the students' booths and expressed his admiration of what he witnessed. "Great efforts and appetite for achievement can be clearly seen in these student's innovations. There are many products that serve the transportation industry and we are planning to work with the owners soon," he noted.
Among the student exhibitors was a company that aimed to benefit from wasted resources and transform it into products of high value and quality. The company's first project is to convert waste produced by fishes into food for fish farms. Similarly converting natural resources into value, another company transformed recycled materials into environmental friendly filters for vehicles. These filters can absorb chemicals, protecting the environment from harmful emissions.
Another company designed an app which rendered integrated services to promote Omani tourism using virtual reality. The app displayed pictures and virtual clips of tourist locations in the Sultanate with descriptions and GPS coordinates. Additionally, it provided a comprehensive guide of supplementary services and places near the tourist spot.
