Attempt to smuggle large quantities of tobacco products into Oman foiled

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) foiled an attempt to smuggle 30,000 chewing tobacco bags into the Sultanate of Oman.

According to the ROP, the Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate thwarted an attempt to smuggle 30,000 bags of chewing tobacco after the police boats at the site managed to seize the smuggling boat with three foreign nationals on board. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
