Muscat: Avani - Muscat Hotel was launched on Monday at a cost of OMR 23 million.

"The opening of the Avani - Muscat Hotel in Al Khoudh in the Wilayat of Seeb, which cost about OMR 23 million, was held," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

His Excellency Eng Essam bin Saud Al Zadjali, Chairman of Muscat Municipality confirms that the hotel is one of the important projects to diversify the tourism sector and attract more tourists, both from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

Ismail bin Yaqoub Al Tobi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Safari International Group, said that the hotel is an additional tributary to the promising tourism sector and will contribute to meet the needs of visitors and residents in the Sultanate of Oman for business and tourism purposes.

The 4-star hotel owned by Safari International Group and managed by "Minor Hotels International" includes 206 hotel rooms, 45 apartments, a hall with a capacity of 700 people, meeting rooms and other facilities.
