Muscat: The Chairman of the Environment Authority has visited Al Ghat National Park in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to unify and integrate efforts between the two countries.
His Excellency Dr Abdullah Al Omari, Chairman of the Environment Authority, visits the Al Ghat National Park, accompanied by Dr Khaled Al-Abdulqader, CEO of the National Centre for the Development of Vegetation Cover and Combating Desertification.
The Chairman learned about the National Centres for Environmental Conservation and the number of parks and their importance in creating investment opportunities. He was also briefed on the experience of planting trees with rainwater harvesting.
The programme also included a visit to the deer sanctuary, during which a number of reem antelopes were released in the Al Ghat National Park.
The visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes within the framework of the great endeavour and keenness of the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Environment Authority to unify and integrate efforts between the two countries and cooperate in a number of environmental fields, including the exchange of expertise and experiences, the encouragement of partnership, and the implementation of joint environmental studies and projects.
