Muscat: The Environment Authority is working on a number of investment projects in nature reserves, including a safari project in Al Saleel Natural Park, which is about to be completed.
The Environment Authority(EA) said, in cooperation with the competent authorities, we seek to invest in natural reserves, which are a national wealth and a promising tributary to the national economy due to their biological and cultural diversity.
Zahra bint Khalaf Al Sharqi, an environmental systems specialist at the General Directorate of Nature Conservation at the EA, told Oman News Agency that the authority has offered some investment opportunities for companies, specialised institutions and investors wishing to invest and manage eco-tourism projects.
She adds that the authority has put forward an announcement to invest in three lagoon reserves in Dhofar Governorate (Souli, Dahariz and Khor Al Qurum Al Kabeer), and is working on a safari project in Al Saleel Natural Park, which is about to be completed.
