Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's atmosphere has started to get affected by the upper trough of low pressure area and the flow of clouds over a number of northern areas.

The Directorate General of Meteorology said in an update that the latest aerial images show the flow of clouds over the governorates of Musandam and North Al Batinah, and the condensation of low clouds on parts of the southeast coast."

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority issued report No. 1 stating: "Oman will be affected by upper trough of low-pressure area associated with clouds advection over Governorates of Musandam and North Al Batinah and Buraimi starting from Friday evening. This will continue for coming few days as the weather will be cloudy over the governorates of Musandam and top parts of North Al Batinah with chances of rain (20-50 mm), occasionally thundershowers, winds and flash floods in wadis."
