Muscat: Within the strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain, the Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth signed an executive programme in the sports field with the Public Sports Authority of Bahrain for 2022- 2025. The programme was signed by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth and Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa First Deputy Chairman of the Youth and Sports Council, President of the Public Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The programme aimed to encourage exchange of sports expertise between the two sides, organising joint training programmes, qualifying the national cadre in the sports field and enhancement of existing cooperation between the two countries in the sports field.
The two sides agreed on exchange of visits between sports officials and leaders of the two countries in the sports field to acquaint with the programmes and services offered in the fields of sports medicine and physiotherapy.
