Oman, Lithuania explore means of boosting trade, industry relations

Muscat: Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry here on Wednesday received Dr. Mantas Adomenas, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Lithuania.

The meeting reviewed the astounding relations between the two countries. It also covered fields of trade and economic cooperation.

The two sides discussed several matters of common interest and expressed their keenness to seize the investment opportunities and the available capabilities in the fields of trade, industry, tourism and energy.

The meeting touched on Oman Vision 2040 and the economic diversification sectors targeted by the Sultanate of Oman, namely transformative industries, tourism, mining, fisheries, transportation, logistic services and associated sectors.

It also covered the investment opportunities and incentives offered for investors through the Foreign Capital Investment Law, as well as other advantages offered in the previous period to stimulate the business environment.

The two sides explored the possibility of exchanging expertise, increasing cooperation, organizing joint events aimed at bolstering trade exchange and conducting B2B meetings among business-people of the two countries.
