Muscat: The Royal Court Affairs, in coordination with the Ministry Labour, received a security unit in Al Khoudh on Sunday. The function was held amidst all precautionary measures taken for the COVID-19.
The new batch will undergo basic military training programme for recruits before joining various military units.
The recruits admitted to the programme have already completed all procedures and evaluations, and have passed all stages for admission including the interviews and written tests for joining the military units.
The recruits were received by brigadier Commander of the Security Unit at the Royal Court Affairs and a number of officers and non-commissioned officers and the training cadre.
Major Saud Mohammed Al Harassi, Director of the Military Training Centre said that “Royal Court Affairs has completed, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, the procedures for admission of a new batch of recruits in implementation of the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.”
“The Military Training Centre is concerned with training new recruits”, he said, adding that the training period would be for eight months.
