Qurum, Ruwi win Super 4 games

MUSCAT: Khurram Khan’s superb 104 not out failed to save Darsait Titans from a crushing 7-wicket defeat by Qurum Thunders in a D20 Super 4 League game at Oman Cricket Turf 1 in Amerat on Monday.

Khurram’s top knock included 9 fours and 5 sixes as Darsait reached 165 for 6 in 20 overs.

Qurum’s brilliant form saw it overhaul the total in only 16.4 overs as it scored 166 for 3 thanks to brilliant batting by Shoaib Khan (55 off 35) and Ayaan Khan (40 off 26). Darsait leggie Khawar Ali bagged 2 for 44.

Zohaib shines in big Ruwi win

In the day’s other game, opener Zohaib Amanat’s vital 66 off 44 and superbat Naseem Khushi’s 47 off 16 powered Ruwi Rangers to a comfortable 54-run victory against Ghubrah Giants.

Ruwi’s robust 188 for 8 also saw a breezy 31 off 18 from opener Gustav Burger. Haroon Khan and Ghazanfar Iqbal claimed three and two wickets respectively.

Ghubrah failed to make a match of it, managing to score only 134 for 7 in 20 overs due largely to superb bowling by Kaleemullah (3 for 35) and Sanuth Ebrahim (2 for 15).

Wasim helps Danmark to victory

Danmark rode on outstanding all-round show by Mohammed Wasim to beat Winner’s Jotun in a D Division T20 League match at Muscat Municipality ground 3 in Amerat on Friday.

Batting at number 7, Wasim’s topscore of 87 came off 45 balls as Danmark posted a big 195 for 7 on the board.

With a new ball in hand, Wasim rocked Winner’s Jotun with a five-wicket spell, restricting it to 139 for 8 in 20 overs. Ekramul Mohammed and Raj Amal scored 48 and 46 respectively.

Khan stars in KCA Deutag’s win

Mohammed Khan was the hero of KCA Deutag’s 18-run win over Royal Gulf in an F Division T20 League match at Muscat Municipality ground 3. Khan topscored with 13-ball 26 in KCA Deutag’s 146 all out in 19.4 overs. Jebin James took 3 for 31 whereas Alif Hameed claimed 2 for 16.

Royal Gulf struggled to stay ahead, managing to score only 128 for 7 in 20 overs. Avinash Sharma topscored with 43. Muhammed Khan bowled well, taking 2 for 24.
