MUSCAT: Oman opener Jatinder Singh struck an elegant 55 off 39 including 4 sixes, steering Qurum Thunders to a 7-wicket win over Bousher Busters in a D20 Cricket League game at Oman Cricket Turf 1 in Amerat on Sunday.
Bousher’s total of 159 for 8 saw 59 by Abdul Rauf and 37 by Asif Khan. Munis Ansari and Sandeep Goud took two wickets each.
Qurum openers Jatinder and Kashyapkumar Prajapati (51 off 38) dominated the chase with an entertaining 94-run partnership in less than 11 overs. Shoaib Khan came on to complete the formalities with a solid 37 off 21 as Qurum sealed the win in in the 19 th over, scoring 163 for 3. Asif Khan bagged 2 for 23.

Hussnain bowls Ghubrah to victory
In the day’s other game, Hussnain Ali’s brilliant spell with the new ball in which he claimed 4 for 21 was the highlight of Ruwi Rangers’ thumping 6-wicket victory against Ghubrah Giants.
Ghubrah failed to post a fighting total on the board, folding up for a dismal 96 in 16.5 overs due largely to Hussnain’s heroics and Sanuth Ebrahim’s 2 for 2 in 2 overs. Azmat Ullah was the only Ghubrah batsman to bat well, scoring a defiant 50 off 35.
Ruwi raced to the target in only 12.4 overs, scoring 100 for 4 thanks to 37 off 20 by Khalid Kail and 25 off 20 by Zohaib Amanat. Aqil Khan took 2 for 12.

Munthir stars in OCT Muscat win
Excellent all-round performance by Munthir Al Balushi helped OCT Muscat to an easy 34-run win over OCT Al Seeb in a 30-over B Division League match at Muscat Municipality ground 1 in Amerat on Friday.
Muscat scored 175 all out in 29.3 overs thanks to top knocks from Rashad Al Balushi (44) and Munthir (40). Issa Al Balushi was the pick of Seeb bowlers, taking 4 for 28 whereas Younis Al Balushi claimed 3 for 22.
Struggling at 27 for 4 in 7 overs, OCT Seeb never really recovered despite Samir Othman’s unbeatn 76 off 86, getting bowled out for 141 in the 27 th over. Munthir exclelled with the ball too, taking 3 for 20 while Khalid Al Balushi and Shaed Ali bagged two wickets each.

Rafique steers Khalsa to big win
Mohammed Rafique’s magnificent batting and bowling saw Khalsa United to a solid 49-run victory against Nibrass Tech in a C Division T20 League game at Muscat Municipality ground 2.
Khalsa’s 201 for 4 was powered by Rafique’s 75 not out off 44 and Majid Rafique’s 32 off 16. Waqas Khalid claimed 2 for 28.
Rafique bowled brilliantly too, taking 3 for 22 whereas Muhammed Asif picked up 3 for 24 as Khalsa was bundled out for 152 in 20 overs, Tarun Bhaskaran topscoring with 46.
