Low-pressure trough to continue affecting weather over Oman

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will continue to be affected by a trough of low pressure area expected to last until Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), said.

 CAA said in a statement that the weather is expected to be cloudy during Monday and Tuesday over the governorates of Musandam , North Al Batinah , South Al Batinah , Muscat , Al Buraimi , Al Dahirah , Al Dakhiliyah , South Al Sharqiyah and North Al Sharqiyah with chances of rain occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh winds , flash floods , hail and wadis . The peak of this weather event is expected to be tomorrow.

A drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday evening due to the northwesterly winds.
