Hamoud Al Touqi takes home Ministry of Sports Affairs shield

Muscat: Horse rider Sultan bin Hamoud Al Touqi of the Olympic Equestrian Centre won the shield of the Ministry of Sports Affairs in Show Jumping for the 2018/2019 season.
Hamoud bin Sultan Al Touqi of the Olympic Equestrian Centre won the title of Champion of the Class B, the highest category of competitions organised by the Omani Equestrian Federation.
The Olympic Equestrian Centre has also been named the Best Stable and best titles achiever in show jumping for this season.
The closing ceremony was sponsored by Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed Al Mardhouf Al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs, in the presence of Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs and Sayyid Munthir bin Saif bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Equestrian Federation.
The competition consisted of five categories: B, C, D, D1, and the young riders, along with 71 horses. The closing ceremony featured an exciting competition between the participating horse riders which reflected their ability in each category of competition. The young riders played a prominent role in this noble sport. 6 horses participated in the category B.
The first place was won by Sultan bin Hamoud al-Touqi, riding Charming Gel from the Olympic Equestrian Centre. 6 horses participated in the category C. The first place went to Hamoud bin Sultan al- Touqi, riding Atalarito from the Olympic Centre Equestrian. 15 horses participated in the category D. Molly Graham, riding Labluma of the Olympic Centre for Equestrian. 18 horses participated in the category D1.
The first place was won by Qasim bin Mohammed al- Farsi, riding Fulk Al Salama from Police Cavalry Unit. 26 horses participated in the category of Young Riders. Sheikha bint Rashid Al Touqiya won the first place, riding Victor, from the Olympic Equestrian Centre. The horse riders of the season for the categories, based on who won the highest points, the title in Category B went to Hamoud bin Sultan al- Touqi, of the Olympic Equestrian Centre. The title of the category C went to Khalid bin Khalfan al- Shuaibi from the Police Cavalry Unit. In category D, the title was won by Sultan bin Mohammed al-Harrasi of the Cavalry of the Royal Guard of Oman. The title of the Category D1 went to Molly Graham, riding Labluma, from the Olympic Equestrian Centre. The title in category Young Riders went to Al Munthir bin Mohammed al-Toobi of Olympic Equestrian Centre. The best young rider title went to Molly Graham, riding Labluma, of the Olympic Equestrian Centre.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Saad bin Mardhouf Al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs, crowned the winners of the first places in each category.
