SQU announces opening of applications

Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the Deanship of Graduate Studies, has announced the opening of applications for admissions to postgraduate programs (postgraduate diplomas, masters and doctoral studies) for Omani and foreign students for the academic year 2022/2023, starting from tomorrow, Sunday, until the 28th of February.

The number of doctoral programs offered for this year reached 34, while the number of programs offered for master's degrees was 69, and 4 programs were in the postgraduate diploma.

Among these programs are: The PhD Program in Islamic Studies at the College of Education, which is one of the new programs that will be launched this year. It seeks to root scientific research in the field of Islamic sciences, contribute to the development of society, find successful solutions to legal and intellectual issues that occur, and fill the needs of the university and the Sultanate of Oman with specialised scientific competencies.

The Master's Program in Accounting and Finance will be offered for the first time at the College of Economics and Political Science with three sub-specialties: Finance, Accounting, and Islamic Banking and Finance.

The university offers a number of scholarships and seats funded from external parties.
