Muscat: A young Omani boy is being interviewed by police after he hid from friends and family, believing he was about to bekidnapped.
The 13-year-old, who told officers he thought he was about to be kidnapped, was found safe and well after he hid, police officials have confirmed.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) confirmed reports of the kidnapping earlier yesterday and said they were looking for a purple coloured car with a broken window.
The incident happened early this morning in Mabella, Muscat governorate.
Detectives had appealed for members of the public to report any sighting of a car bearing that description.
A Royal Oman Police spokesman said enquiries are ongoing into the incident and added: “The child was not abducted, but he thought that someone was meaning to abduct him so he hid somewhere. He has been brought to the police station to make a statement.”
