COVID-19 cases rise in Oman
More than 40 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Oman.

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is witnessing a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.

More than 40 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Oman. The number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in the Sultanate reached 42, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 304,938.

The Sultanate also recorded 11 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 300,227, with no deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours.

The number of patients admitted to health institutions during the past 24 hours was zero, the total number of patients admitted to health institutions was eight, with only two patients in ICU.

Muscat Governorate saw the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, at 33, including 12 new cases in wilayat Muttrah, eight in the wilayat of Muscat, seven in the wilayat of Seeb, and six in the wilayat of Baushar.  North Al Batinah Governorate came second, with eight new cases, including four in the wilayat of Sohar, two in the wilayat of Liwa, and one new case each in the wilayats of Shinas and Al Khaboura.

Only one new COVID-19 case was registered in the Governorate of Dhofar, specifically in the wilayat of Salalah.

The rest of the Sultanate’s governorates have not recorded any new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
