The sixth regular session, on Tuesday 28 December, would see a discussion on the mechanism followed in compensating citizens affected with Tropical Cyclone Shaheen.

Muscat: Majlis Al Shura will host next Monday Said bin Hamoud Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in the first session for a discussion since the issuance of the Law of the Council of Oman.

The discussion will be on strategic road projects and other road projects, according to a statement by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary General of Majlis A'Shura. Sheikh Al Nadabi said that Majlis would hold the fifth and sixth regular sessions of the third annual convening (2021-2022) of the ninth term ( 2019-2023) on Monday and Tuesday 27 and 28 December.

The fifth session would be allocated for a discussion with the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, while the sixth session would be for a discussion on a number of reports of the permanent committees of Majlis, he added.

The sixth regular session, on Tuesday 28 December, would see a discussion on the mechanism followed in compensating citizens affected with Tropical Cyclone Shaheen, he said, adding that the Council of Ministers has approved a number of requests for discussions for the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

Majlis would hold its sessions on the discussion requests in accordance with the provisions of Article ( 68) of the Law of the Council of Oman.
