Muscat: The National Museum, represented by the Learning Centre and in cooperation with the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), organised an artistic workshop themed “Maritime Glories of Oman”.

The workshop, which coincides with the celebration of the Armed Forces Day that falls annually on 11 December, was held at the headquarters of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum.

The workshop was presented by Abdullah Muhammad Al Rajaibi, Education Specialist (Outreach Programme) at the National Museum to an audience of school students.

The students worked and painted the “Shabab Oman” ship, which plays a prominent role in spreading the message of peace and strengthening friendship between the countries of the world. They also worked on weapons belonging to the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Army of Oman.

The workshop came as part of the activities accompanying the inauguration of “The Biography of a Leader and his Glorious Reign” exhibition at the headquarters of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum in Beit Al Falaj. The exhibition tells the glorious historical biography of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour.
