CMA launches electronic appeals service

Muscat: The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has launched an electronic appeals service through its website and smartphones application. The move aims to employ electronic services in easing the submission of appeals which will serve any party against whom a decision is issued by the CMA and wants to appeal it.

The appeal can be filed electronically through the system personally or by a representative or legal attorney to the Appeals Committee comprising two judges nominated by the Council of the Administrative Affairs of the Judiciary and a member nominated by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

CMA is keen to update its electronic systems to ease for the individuals and institutions obtaining the services it render to achieve the national priorities through quality services and digital transformation led by Oman Vision 2040 in line with the sectorial objectives specified by the CMA to increase the efficiency at an annual average of 10 per cent.
