MEDC completes rehabilitation of electrical network at Muttrah

Muscat: The rehabilitation of low-voltage electrical network in some villages of the Muttrah Wilayat has been completed, the Muscat Electricity Distribution Company (MEDC) said on Wednesday.

“This step comes within the framework of continuous improvement of the electrical network and the provision of safety standards for public, since it was an old network system and was not in compliance with the safety requirements,” Eng. Mazin bin Ali Al-Salmani, Senior Manager of Operation and Maintenance of the company, said in a statement.

Al-Salmani added that Muscat Electricity Distribution Company continues to evaluate the electrical network on a regular basis, confirming its continuous endeavour to develop the electrical distribution networks for the purpose of enhancing the service reliability, and delivering it to all customers in a safe manner, in accordance with Omani Electrical Standards.
