The Sultanate's national carrier Oman Air has cancelled 30 flights that were scheduled to take off on April 9 and April 10, 2019.

This was done following Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) directives on suspending operations of Boeing 737 MAX.

The decision was made in the wake of two fatal crashes in the space of a five months involving Boeing 737 MAX jets.

Some of the routes which are cancelled on both April 9 and 10 include Hyderabad, Dubai, Salalah, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Bombay, Riyadh and Nairobi.
