Covid-19: Third dose to raise antibody level to over 75% says expert

Muscat: The third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will raise antibodies and immunity to more than 75 per cent in the body, Dr. Feryal Al Lawati said 

Dr. Feryal bint Ali Al Lawati, Senior Consultant at the Communicable Disease Department at Royal Hospital said in an interview with Oman TV: "The effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines is reduced due to the omicron variant, and there are studies that show that the third/ booster or supplement dose raises antibodies and immunity to more than 75 per cent." 

The Senior Consultant also said that the spread of the omicron variant has reduced the time interval for obtaining the booster dose of Covid-19 vaccines. There are studies confirming the safety of obtaining it after three months.
