Muscat: The Environment Authority, , continues its campaign to combat the "tree stump borer" pest to save perennial trees in Dhofar Governorate.
"The campaign, is in its fourth phase, targeting the Hashir area in the Niyabat of Tawi Ateer in the Wilayat of Mirbat with the aim of protecting and preserving perennial trees such as baobab and wild figs, and preserving the diversity of vegetation cover in the area," Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Saiari, Advisor to the President of the Environment Agency for Environmental Affairs, Director General of the Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar, said to Oman News Agency.
