Brazilian President bids goodbye to Oman's ambassador with highest honour

Muscat: The Brazilian President awarded the Sultanate's ambassador the highest Brazilian Order on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Brazil.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "His Excellency Jair Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, awarded His Excellency Ambassador Imad bin Hamoud Al Abri, the Sultanate of Oman's ambassador to Brazil, the highest Brazilian Order (the Order of the Southern Cross of High Class) on the occasion of the end of his duties as ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman."

His Excellency Kenneth Nobrega, Secretariat for Bilateral Negotiations in the Middle East, Europe and Africa, awarded the Ambassador the highest Order, during an official ceremony held at the Itamaraty Palace.
 
His Excellency the Secretariat for Bilateral Negotiations in the Middle East gave a speech in which he reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The Undersecretary praised the efforts of His Excellency the Ambassador in this regard during his tenure, which contributed to the consolidation and strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Brazil in all fields, and congratulated him on the occasion of receiving this highest Order in appreciation of these efforts.

 Ambassador Imad bin Hammoud Al Abri expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Brazilian President for granting him this highest Brazilian Order, which is a tribute to the distinguished and advanced bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
