Telemedicine facility launched at Said bin Sultan base

Muscat: The ophthalmology department at the medical complex in the Said bin Sultan base has launched the provision of medical services through direct video communication, with the Armed Forces Hospital.

“The medical complex at the Said bin Sultan Naval Base launched a medical service through direct visual communication in ophthalmology with the Armed Forces Hospital by examining the patient and interacting with him by examining the eyes using modern specialised devices,” Oman News Agency, ONA, said.

The diagnosis is obtained as if the patient and the doctor are in the same consultation room in terms of accuracy and efficiency.
