COVID-19: WHO Representative visits immunisation centre in Oman

Muscat: A representative of the World Health Organisation has visited the COVID-19 immunisation centre in Salalah.

This morning, Dr. Jan Jabbour, Representative of the World Health Organisation and his accompanying delegation, along with Dr. Khalid Al Mashikhi, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services for the Governorate of Dhofar, and Musa bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Director General of the General Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth, visited the immunisation centre at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and sport in Salalah.

During the visit, the WHO delegation was briefed with the progress of the immunisation process in the centre and the previous stages of the national campaign for immunisation against Covid-19 in the Governorate of Dhofar.

He also listened to a presentation of the stages of the emergency plan implemented during the Covid 19 pandemic in the governorate. Dr. Khaled Al Mashikhi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate, talked about the stages of the executive plan to deal with the spread of Covid-19.
