Muscat: More than 2,000 mangrove tree saplings have been planted in the Wilayat of Barka in South Al Batinah Governorate, said the Environment Authority.

The authority said in a statement that in order to enhance the efforts made to protect and enrich marine habitats, and within the national initiative to plant ten million trees, the Marine Environment Conservation Department, in coordination with the Environment Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, planted 2,200 seedlings of mangrove trees in Khor Al Hafri in the Wilayat of Barka.
