Muscat-Doha route geats a seat boost with three new daily flights

Muscat: Three additional daily flights will be operated between Muscat and Doha by Oman Air in partnership with Qatar Airways.

Making the announcement, Qatar Airways said that the new flights will add to the existing daily flight from Muscat, enhancing connectivity and travel options via the award-winning Hamad International Airport (HIA).

The new flights will start on 7th December 2021 and gradually increase in frequency on 10th and 15th December, ensuring a seamless travel experience for passengers with connecting flights beyond Doha.

Oman Air will operate a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft offering 258 economy seats and 30 business class seats.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive,  Akbar Al Baker said: “We are pleased to expand our partnership with Oman Air and continuing to lead on the resumption of international travel.

“These new flights will offer greater travel options to passengers from Muscat to destinations across the world and benefit from enhanced connectivity offered by the Qatar Airways and Oman Air strategic alliance.”.

Oman Air CEO, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, said: “Adding three more frequencies between Muscat and Doha is an important milestone both for our strategic alliance and the post-pandemic travel recovery. Widening travel options for Omani citizens and residents, the newly added flights will also make it easier for travellers from around the world to visit Oman and Qatar in one trip and enjoy the genuine Arabian hospitality our countries are famous for.”

In addition to the flights to Muscat, Qatar Airways operates three weekly flights to Salalah, Oman’s southern jewel famous for its breathtaking landscapes and rich wildlife.
