Muscat: For adventurers and lovers of climbing, the opening of the climbing wall in the town of Misfat Al Abriyeen in the Wilayat of Al Hamra comes as good news.

The climbing wall includes three different tracks suitable for children, amateurs and professionals.

"The opening of the climbing wall project comes as a qualitative addition to the tourism products in the town and a model for mountain adventure and climbing enthusiasts," Oman News Agency (ONA) said.

Abdulrahman Al Abri, who is in charge of the project and one of the tour guides in the town of Misfat Al Abriyeen, said: "The wall was designed by a company specialised in this field, and it will be operated and managed by young people from the Wilayat after passing a training course in this field, adding that it is hoped that the project will attract a lot of people and adventure lover, especially during the tourist season, which extends from October to April of each year, and includes three different tracks suitable for children, amateurs and professionals."

"Also, the climbing wall is located near the internal parking spaces of the town, and the project began receiving visitors starting today, Friday," Al Abri added.

The tourism sector in the town of Misfat Al Abriyeen in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, in cooperation with the Wadi Adventures Company, plans to organise tourist trips, and the climbing wall is a continuation of the tourist movement witnessed by the town of Misfat Al Abriyeen and the diversity of tourism products and programs that meet the desires of visitors of different ages and nationalities.
