Project costing over OMR 20 million to provide drinking water in Al Wusta

Muscat: With a cost of more than OMR 20 million, Duqm - Haima water transmission line project is being implemented in Al Wusta Governorate to deliver drinking water to the people.

Oman News Agency (ONA), said that Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC), is currently implementing a number of projects in the wilayats of Al Wusta Governorate to deliver drinking water to citizens in the governorate.

Engineer Ibrahim bin Said Al Ghunaimi, Chairman of Planning and Asset Management Department at the company, said that the main source of drinking water in the Al Wusta Governorate depends on desalination plants located in all the governorate's wilayats.

Engineer Ghalib bin Amer Al Musallami, Projects Manager at the company, confirms that the Duqm - Haima water transmission line project, with a length of 174 km, at an amount of approximately OMR 24 million, is currently being implemented, which includes the construction of four integrated water pumping stations
