CMA hosts health insurance awareness campaign

Muscat: The second introductory meeting of the health insurance scheme for the employees of the private sector and expatriates will be held in Dakhilyah.
The event will be held under the auspices of Khalifah Hamed Al Saadi, Governor of Al Dakhiliyiah and will be organised by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), with the attendance of businessmen and entrepreneurs in Al Dakhiliyah.
The event is part of a national campaign executed by the health insurance 'Dhamani’ team aiming at community partnership through presentations and shows to enhance awareness of the scheme and its economic and social benefits.
The first meeting was held on Sunday in the Wilayat Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate. Officials from Government units and the private sector are expected to attend the meeting at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nizwa.
The meeting will acquaint the audience with the “Dhamani” scheme and implementation methods and latest development as well as the standard health insurance policy which was recently issued and that contains the limits of basic health coverage.
It is noteworthy that the Council of Ministers has assigned CMA in its session No. 26/2017 dated 19 September 2017 to coordinate with the concerned authorities to prepare the regulations required for implementation of the health insurance for the employees of the private sector, expatriates residing in Oman and the visitors.
