Muscat : The Sultanate of Oman on Thursday joined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in marking the UAE 50th National Day.
Celebratory events at the at the Al Wajaja and, Hamasa border checkpoints were among the highlights of the day.
In this context, the Secretariat General of National Celebrations (SGNC), in cooperation with Royal Oman Police (ROP), organised a ceremony at Al Wajaja border checkpoint.
Similarly, Hamasa border checkpoint in Al Buraimi Governorate organised a ceremony marking the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The ceremony included a number of operettas produced by the Secretariat General of National Celebrations (SGNC). The ceremony reflects the cohesion and unity between peoples of the two countries.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officers at Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command and Al Ain border checkpoints, members of the State Council, members of Shura Council, and a number of government officials in Al Buraimi.
The ceremony included many activities, in addition to some musical pieces played by the ROP Music Band.
Those arriving from UAE were received at Al Wajaja border checkpoint with souvenirs in celebration of this occasion. -ONA
