Ambassador of Sri Lanka addresses OCCI members of Buraimi

Muscat: Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman Ameer Ajwad addressed the Executive Committee members of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) of Al Buraimi region.

He highlighted the enormous business opportunities that are available for business communities in Sri Lanka and Oman and stressed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) recently signed between the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) needs to be fully utilised with a view to enhancing private sector interactions between the two countries.

Ambassador also shared with the Chamber the details of the prospective Sri Lankan private sector companies who are interested to explore business opportunities with their Omani counterparts.

Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Al Buraimi region Zahir bin Mohammed Al Kaabi and the executive committee members of the Chamber participated during the meeting with the Ambassador.  

Ambassador Ameer Ajwad together with Fathima Asmiya Ameer Ajwad also participated at Oman’s 51st National Day celebrations held at the premises of the Chamber by ceremonially cutting a cake to mark the significant occasion.
