Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has signed a funding agreement of Saih Al Maashi Health Centre's establishment in the Wilayat Bahla in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
A statement issued online by MOH said: "The Ministry of Health represented by the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate signed on Wednesday a funding agreement of the establishment of Saih Al Maashi Health Centre in the Wilayat Bahla."
The agreement was signed by MOH's Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Planning Affairs H.E. Dr Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, and the project funder H.E. Mohammed Sulaiman Al Hanai, Member of Shura Council, Representative of Bahla.
MOH's Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial, and Planning Affairs affirmed the significance of the partnership among public sector and other sectors in the Sultanate for serving public interests and the initiative of His Excellency Al Hanai to finance such vital projects.
H.E. Dr Al Ajmi added that the signing of the agreement was in the spirit of strategic partnership for the common good of the community and upgrading the public welfare services and developmental projects across the Sultanate.
H.E. Mohammed Al Hinai, Shura Council member representing the Wilayat of Bahla, stressed his keenness to activate the partnership and cooperation with the government institutions and private sectors to serve aspects of development in the country, including the provided health services to citizens as part of the social responsibility.
His Excellency said that Saih Al - Maashi Health Centre would provide access to primary health care services for a large segment of people, covering the villages located between Ibri and Bahla with approximately 15,000 people. He pointed out that the nearest health institution currently covering these villages is more than 30 kilometres away.
