Muscat: Amid COVID protocols, people in Oman enjoyed the National Day holidays which ended on Monday.
Omani citizen, Yasir Al Badi said, “My little family and I spent our vacation in Muscat governorate, which is full of beautiful historic and tourist attractions.”
The 51st National Day holiday was declared on Sunday and Monday, November 28 and November 29, 2021, so some people decided to spend it inside the Sultanate of Oman and others outside it for entertainment and enjoyment.
Yasir Al Badi from the wilayat of Saham in North Al Batinah governorate said that “my little family and I spent our vacation in the Muscat governorate, which is full of beautiful historic and tourist attractions. We visited Al Mouj Muscat, which is one of the most unique destinations in the governorate, which includes a large number of residential and commercial facilities, as well as golf courses for entertainment. We also visited the beautiful Qurum Beach and Starbucks overlooking the beach for drinking coffee and eating sweets.”
“We also visited the Oman Aquarium, it is one of the most beautiful and unique destinations that people from different countries visit to see different types of marine animals. In addition to old Muscat, its forts, its different parks, Riyam Park for kids to play in and Al Alam Palace. We visited the beautiful Barr Al Jissah Resort and rode one of the tourist boats that serve visitors from different countries of the world to see the beauty of the place. The last stop of our trip was Marina Bandar Al Rawda in the Sadab area in the wilayat of Muscat to see the beauty of the night ,” Yasir Al Badi added.
Noor Al Jahwari from the wilayat of Suwaiq in the North Al Batinah governorate said, “I visited the wilayat of Bidiyah, located in the north of Al Sharqiyah, characterised by cool air and the beautiful golden sand, which is the focus of attention for many visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate. I rode the camel and the motorbike to walk around the place and see the aesthetics of the place. There are many beautiful camps that serve visitors to spend time overnight instead of hotels.”
About the food Noor added, “I ate breakfast and lunch in restaurants characterised by simplicity and old design, and for dinner, I prepared delicious grills.”
Ayat Al Sabri, from the wilayat of Sohar in the North Al Batinah governorate, said, “My family and I decided to go to the United Arab Emirates, specifically Dubai, to spend the National Day holiday. We headed to Dubai on Thursday at 4 pm. We visited the famous Burj Khalifa building, which is the tallest in the world at a height of 829.8 meters. Burj Khalifa makes you see the city in its splendour and beauty, especially at night.”
“We also visited the Global Village, which includes all the cultures of the world in one place and enables visitors to shop and eat different foods from most countries of the world and entertainment. Visitors move between the corners of the village like those who boarded a transcontinental train. We also watched theatrical performances, circus shows, and roving band performances,” Ayat said.
Speaking about visiting the Expo Dubai, Ayat said, “On Friday morning we went to Expo Dubai 2020 where more than 190 countries showcased their cultures and innovations inside architecturally stunning pavilions. We also visited Dubai Creek, where the boats are located along the creek, and we toured the creek through the ships there to serve visitors in addition to transporting goods.”
Ayat also visited other tourist places in Dubai, with family. “We visited Dubai Miracle Garden, where many floral compositions and structures adorn this enchanting place. Dubai Miracle Garden is also considered one of the most beautiful gardens in Dubai in the world and one of the most beautiful tourist places in Dubai for walking and resting.”
“On Saturday, we headed to Wild Wadi Water Park Dubai, which is one of the most exciting water parks in Dubai. The last stop of our beautiful trip was Dubai Mall, as it is the main commercial centre in the city and one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in Dubai. There is an ice skating rink, a games area and a complex cinematic experience in addition to shopping and dining,” Ayat added.
