Nautilus raises over OMR6,000 for Children First Association
Donations were raised to support the Children First Association

Muscat: Nautilus Volunteer Association has raised OMR6,263 for Children First Association as part of the first Nautilus Swimathon hosted at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on 20 November 2021.

Organised by the captain of Nautilus Swimming Club and President of the Nautilus Volunteer Association, Eva Bonde, it was the first-of-its-kind event in the Sultanate of Oman.

Donations were raised to support the Children First Association.  At the conclusion of the Swimathon competition, Eva Bonde, on behalf of Nautilus Volunteers Association, presented a check of OMR6,263 to Dr Maghda Al Hinai and Dr Khoud Al Balushi representing the Children First Association.

It was a wonderful imitative on part of the swimmers and volunteers for a successful fundraising event for Children First Association as it provides care for children from infancy to 18 years of age.

Based upon the success of this event, Children First Association, Nautilus Volunteers Association and Nautilus Swimming Club have established a long term relationship.

Future joint events are in planning stages and will include providing swim lessons to children needing financial assistance so that they can swim safely. The sponsors of this event, Yuzu Agriculture, Grand Hyatt Muscat, and Nourish Kitchen were recognised for their outstanding support to the amazingly successful event.
