Muscat: The Acting Deputy Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority confirmed the authority has enhanced its portfolio in the last period by entering into 20 new investments in various sectors.
“Mulham bin Bashir Al-Jarf, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, says that the authority has succeeded during the last period in enhancing its international investments by entering into 20 new investments in various sectors in order to supplement its investment portfolio, which is spread over 36 countries in addition to the Sultanate of Oman,” Oman News Agency, ONA, said.
In an interview with the ONA, he affirmed that the Oman Investment Authority was able to manage and enhance its investments and achieve profits despite the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy.
He explained that the Authority continues to enhance the meticulous process it uses for decision-making with respect to foreign investments; in order to avoid the associated risks and to maximise profits.
