Muscat: With a cost of OMR 300,000, the Ministry of Social Development has signed five agreements with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Company to support and finance a number of projects and initiatives in the Sultanate of Oman’s governorates.

"The Ministry of Social Development and Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company signed five agreements with a total value of about OMR 300,000, including support and financing of a number of projects and initiatives in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

The agreements include supporting the "Solar Energy" initiative and a training programme in leadership and management to hone the skills of members of Omani women's associations, and financing the "We are with you" initiative that targets diabetes patients. In addition to financing the purchase of modern equipment for the Al Noor Association for the Blind in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and the establishment of a pilot project to support livestock breeders in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
