Al Ahlia Insurance clinches prestigious award

Muscat: Al Ahlia Insurance Company, one of Oman’s most tech-driven insurance firms, has won the prestigious award for ‘Best Digital Transformation in Insurance’ at the inaugural edition of the Smart SMB Summit held in Muscat recently.
The awards ceremony marked the finale of the Smart SMB Summit, a platform that brought together the largest number of ‘C’ level executives under one roof. Deliberations during the daylong summit focused on the need for corporations to accelerate digital and business transformation in their organisations.

Al Ahlia was honoured for leveraging the power of WhatsApp, by far the largest social media platform in the Sultanate of Oman, to enable customers to purchase or renew their policies wherever they are, with minimal internet speed, and without the need for lengthy forms.
Payments are done via a wide range of easy payment options and are facilitated by the use of WhatsApp, customers can use their bank’s mobile applications or online banking platforms to transfer the premium amount to the company’s bank account and then send the agents the screenshot via WhatsApp and receive the policy instantly. Other payment methods are also available should the customer prefer to use phone banking.
