Anticipation of even better ties as HM back from historic Qatar visit

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik returned to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday after a historic two-day visit to Qatar.  People of the  country are quite optimistic about His Majesty the Sultan’s visit to Doha.

Mohammed Al Badi from the wilayat of Saham in North Al Batinah Governorate said, “His Majesty’s visit to the State of Qatar has many dimensions, including economic, political, social and scientific, and to strengthen the link and cohesion between the two leaderships and people, what His Majesty the Sultan is doing is evidence of his continuous endeavour to strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries, to develop in all fields, and a renewed Renaissance in the service of the country and its citizens.”

“The Qatari leadership and people’s reception of His Majesty the Sultan with this warmth and appreciation inspires pride and honour and strengthens the bonds of love between the two countries’ leaderships and the Omani and Qatari people,” he added.

Salem Al Shanfari from the wilayat of Salalah in Dhofar Governorate also said, “His Majesty the Sultan’s visit to the State of Qatar is very important at a time when the region is witnessing several economic changes, especially the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here comes how to discuss prospects for joint fraternal cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to support and develop it in various fields in order to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the two brotherly people and review matters of common interest.”

“I hope that there will be strong relations and joint agreements between the Gulf countries to rely on self-sufficiency among them in all industries and fields,” he added.

Rashid Al Hakmani from North Al Sharqiyah Governorate confirmed that the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik came to enhance the distinguished and close relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly State of Qatar and to consolidate the bilateral ties between the two countries, and to confirm the keenness of their leadership to advance them to more spacious horizons at various levels.
He added, “I am very happy to see His Majesty and the delegation accompanying him receiving such warmth and welcome in Qatar.”
