Muscat: Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs met with President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, on the sidelines of the 10th World Economic Forum in the Dead Sea.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alawi discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the violations committed by the Israeli army in the occupied Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories.
“The Sultanate’s steadfast stance in support of Palestinian brothers in their aspirations for the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem was stressed, in addition to the efforts to support the cause for a just and lasting peace in the region,” the foreign ministry added.
