Australia opening borders, Oman’s consulate issues statement

Muscat: The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Australia has issued a statement about the decision of the Australian government to reopen the borders.

“The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Australia would like to inform all students on scholarships to Australian universities, of the recent decision of the Australian Federal Government to reopen the Australian borders, and to allow all Australian visa holders, including international students, to return to Australia, as of December 1, 2021.”

Taking into account that all travelers coming to Australia fulfill the following two conditions:

1. Submit an approved certificate proving that the traveler has received two doses of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine.  

2. Submission of a (PCR) certificate issued by health institutions accredited in the country of departure, proving that the traveler is free of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), provided that the certificate was issued within a period of time not exceeding (72) hours from the date of departure.

All travellers coming to the Australian capital, Canberra, Victoria and New South Wales, who meet the above two conditions, will be exempted from all types of quarantine (institutional and home), while travellers coming to the rest of the Australian states will be subject to the quarantine laws in force in each Australian state.
