Muscat: Sixty participants, comprising of a French team driving 30 classic cars among the Citroen 2CV series, concluded their first tour of the Sultanate
The tour was organised by the Ministry of Tourism and the M & N Tourist Office and lasted 13 days. Participants travelled over 3,000 kilometres on board these 30 classic cars.

The team had an opportunity to see Oman's natural beauty, while having lots of adventures and surprises surrounded by the extraordinary welcome of Omanis throughout the discovery trip, which was held between March 26 and April 4.
The Citroen 2CV tour team visited Nizwa, Sohar, Rustaq and Al Hamra, passing through the terrains of Wadi Bani Awf and several other places, testing both the cars and the skill of the drivers.
The Citroen 2CV discovery tour was able to reach the highest level of the mountains in Al Hamra, one of the most beautiful hill stations in Oman.

The Sultanate is a popular tourist destination for French tourists, with 60,000 tourists visiting Oman last year, which indicates a robust 21 per cent growth over the previous year.
