51st Oman National Day Golf Tournament organised

Muscat: On the occasion of National Day, Mohammed Riaz & Partner Group was able to take part in the nationwide celebrations by sponsoring a golf tournament at the Ghala Golf Club.

Mohammed Riaz is a leading building materials organization in the Sultanate of Oman that has since diversified into retail with the popular Home Mart International chain of malls, and other ventures. Mohammed Riaz & Partners' 1st tournament was attended by a record number of ambassadors and dignitaries in 2016.

The golf tournament sponsored by Mohammed Riaz is the brainchild of its managing director Faiz Mohammed Riaz who is himself a passionate golfer and Oman’s National team player is looking at ways in which to grow the game of golf.

The Chairman of Mohammed Riaz & Partners also believes that contributing to sports events, especially golf events is the building of individual decision making and likewise leaders. The aim of these events is to contribute to society through the medium of golf. 

The event started in the early morning with golfers starting at 6:30 am. The afternoon tee time started at 12:00 pm, where there was a turnout of 83 golfers that took advantage of the excellent change in weather and signifying the onset of the cooler months. The evening ended with a prize giving and presentation function.
