Omanis feel proud over progress made by the Sultanate in 51 years

Muscat: As the Sultanate of Oman celebrates its 51st National Day, citizens and residents are filled with gratitude over the progress achieved by this beautiful country under the wise leadership of its leaders.

Children in Oman decked up to celebrate 51st National Day

Moadh Al Saeedi, from the Wilayat of Al Khabourah in North Al Batinah Governorate, a student of Sultan Qaboos University, expressed his happiness on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the Renaissance.

He said: “The 51st National Day is an occasion that has a special place in the heart of every Omani. It is a great day and this occasion is dear to my heart. It fills my heart with spontaneous joy as I witness the achievements under the wise leadership of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour, during the last 49 years and then under His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.”

He continued that the Sultanate has attained a distinguished position among the neighbouring countries and the world in all fields and at the political, economic, social, scientific and technological levels.

Al Saeedi added that it is a wonderful feeling as you notice the growth the Sultanate has achieved during the 51 years.

He said: “As a student of Sultan Qaboos University, whenever I en- ter the university campus on special occasions, I remember it has been possible due to the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Thousands have graduated from this university that bears the name of Late His Majesty and are currently working in government and private institutions. They are participating in building  the nation and serving citizens and residents on this good land. The construction of the university began in 1982, and it received its first batch of students in 1986.”

Al Saeedi confirmed: “We are the youth, the wheel of the development of the economy, and we are its fuel and its radiant torch. We will also work on raising awareness and educating the family and society, and all of this is due to the achievements of the wise leader- ship and the government during the 51 years, and accordingly we celebrate this day to translate our happiness with what has been accomplished and that we continue to progress, and prosper.”

Naïf Al Sinani from the Wilayat of Saham in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, a teacher in one of the schools in the Wilayat, also expressed his feelings on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the Renaissance.

He said: “I am very happy on this occasion. I have graduated from the Sultan Qaboos University, which is one of the prestigious uni- versities bearing the name of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour. 13 years after my graduation in 2008, I am serving my country and my community by educating students and community.”

Al Sinani added: “Streets, alleys, houses and buildings are adorned everywhere in the good land of Oman in celebration of this happy occasion and in celebration of the state’s achievements during the last 51 years.”

Naïf Al Sinani sent his greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the national government and the Omani people on this auspicious occasion.

Rashid Al Hakmani from North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, said: “When we see the achievements made by the Sultanate in all fields and at the Gulf, Arab and inter- national levels, I feel happy and pleased, and I enjoy this by celebrating the 51st National Day of the Renaissance with my family, friends and colleagues at work.”


Al Hakmani sent his greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haytham Bin Tarik, the government, the Omani people and all those residing on the good land of Oman.

Ahmed Al Rawas from Dhofar Governorate, said, “I am very proud to be a citizen of the Sultan- ate of Oman, as the Sultanate’s achievements and its role in laying the foundations of peace and love among everyone in the world and participating in international, Gulf and Arab organisations and associations who support all efforts that serve man and the earth. This has been possible due to the wise leadership that we enjoy and to the peace loving Omani people, who are generous and loved by everyone.”

Al Rawas sent his wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, to the government and the Omani people inside and outside the Sultanate, and to residents of the Sultanate on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the Renaissance.
